Cardio kickboxing and HIIT classes at our La Quinta and Palm Springs studios. You throw combinations on the heavy bag, hit intervals on the bike or ropes, and burn through more calories in 42 minutes than most people do in an hour on the treadmill. No experience needed. No fighting. Just a coached, high-energy session that'll have you hooked after the first class.
Most people who walk in have never thrown a punch in their life. That's totally fine. Our coaches break down every combination, teach you proper form, and scale the intensity to wherever you're at. By week two you'll be stringing together combos you didn't think you could do.
42 Fight Club takes it up a notch. If you want to really sharpen your boxing skills while getting an absolutely brutal cardio workout, this is the one. Friday nights. High energy. You'll leave drenched and grinning.
There's a reason people who hate cardio love this class
500-800 per session. In 42 minutes. And because of how HIIT works, your body keeps burning for hours after you leave. So the actual number is higher than what any tracker shows you.
Not vanity muscle. Real strength. The kind where you throw a 50lb bag of dog food in the truck without thinking about it.
This is the big one that separates HIIT from regular cardio. Jogging for an hour burns calories while you're jogging. HIIT keeps your metabolism cranked for hours after because of something called EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption). Basically your body is still working to recover and that takes energy. More energy spent = more calories burned while you're doing nothing. That's the whole game.
Better for your cardiovascular system than steady state cardio. The research is pretty clear on this one.
Bad day? Hit a bag. It works. Our members joke that this class is cheaper than therapy and twice as effective. They're not wrong.
Hard to explain until you're in it. Something about a room full of people throwing combos and grinding through intervals together creates this energy that makes you go harder than you ever would alone. People who've trained at big gyms for years say they've never experienced anything like the vibe in our kickboxing classes.
Different flavors of the same thing: getting you in ridiculous shape
This is the one. Punches, kicks, heavy bag, HIIT intervals, 42 minutes, done. It goes by so fast you won't believe it. People come in dreading cardio and leave asking when the next class is. That happens literally every single round of new members.
More technique. More skill. Still absolutely brutal on the cardio side. Friday nights.
This is where combat meets strength training. Bag work and pad drills mixed with weighted movements so you're building muscle and torching fat in the same session. Members who do this class alongside the regular kickboxing class see their body composition change the fastest. It's a different kind of tired when you're done.
Kickboxing elements plus boot camp format. Never the same workout twice. You show up, the coach runs you through it, and 42 minutes later you're wondering where the time went.
The coaching is what separates this from every other kickboxing class you'll find. Our groups are small enough that your trainer sees your form on every single combination. They'll fix your hook mid-round. Tell you to keep your hands up. Push you when you're sandbagging. That just doesn't happen in a room with 40 people.
And the people. Man. Something about sweating through intervals together makes people bond fast. We've had members say the community here is the real reason they keep showing up.
If you want to mix in some personal training or stretch therapy alongside kickboxing, your membership covers all of it. A lot of our La Quinta kickboxing members do combos 2-3 days and strength the other days. Whatever combination works for your goals.
"Fit in 42 is just what I was looking for. The energy of the classes really motivate you to work harder. The smaller classes allow the coaches to focus on each individual. I've left feeling stronger and better about myself!"
"I've been a member for a year and cannot emphasize how much I love being part of this family. The trainers WILL push you to your limits because they truly believe you can get better. The atmosphere is energetic, fun, and friendly!"
"The energy in each session is so motivating and truly gives me a reason to want to be a better version of myself. The coaches are just as supportive and welcoming. Everyday I feel stronger — that's the Fit in 42 effect!"
Fill out the form at whichever location is closest. We'll reach out and get you set up.
Zero. None. Most people who come to their first class have never hit a heavy bag before. Our coaches walk you through every combination and modify everything based on your level. You'll be surprised how quickly you pick it up. By your third or fourth class you'll feel like you know what you're doing. Read our beginner's guide to kickboxing so you know exactly what to expect.
HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training. Short version: you go hard for a set period, rest briefly, then go hard again. That on-off pattern forces your body to adapt in ways that steady cardio just doesn't. Our 42-minute sessions use this structure with kickboxing combos, bag work, ropes, bikes, and bodyweight movements. The result is more calories burned in less time and a metabolic boost that keeps working after you leave. Read our guide on HIIT classes for busy professionals to see why this format fits any schedule.
La Quinta (we get a ton of people from Indio and Indian Wells too), Palm Springs, and Mont Belvieu TX. Same class quality at all three.
Depends on your size and how hard you go, but most people land somewhere between 500 and 800 calories per 42-minute class. The interval structure also keeps your metabolism running hot for hours afterward. So the real number is actually higher than what you'd see on a heart rate monitor during the session.
Water. A towel. Athletic shoes and comfortable clothes. That's it. We've got gloves, pads, bags, everything you need. Just show up about 10-15 minutes early the first time so your coach can introduce themselves and get you oriented.
3-5 times gives you the best results. Your membership lets you come 6 days a week and we've got different class types throughout the week. A lot of people do kickboxing 2-3 days and mix in strength training or boot camp on the other days. Keeps your body guessing and prevents burnout.
No. Nobody is hitting each other. You hit bags, you hit pads, you do combination drills in the air. All the benefits of learning real boxing and kickboxing technique without any contact with another person. Bring your 12oz gloves (or we can help you get a pair) and that's all you need.
