Introducing the Take Back Control 30 Day Challenge. A program specially created to help our Community help them take back control of their heath.
1 hour class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Accelerates your fitness and will have you kicking, punching, sweating and beating the fat away! This class blends High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) while using weights, punching bags and many other fitness tools. *12 ounce Boxing Gloves are required. This class does not involve hand-to hand combat. *
1 hour class on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays. Energizing workout designed to improve your cardio and strength. The exercises touch on regimens utilizing weights, TRX suspension system, dumbbells, sandbags and other multiple tools. Exercise in a group environment as you team up with others. You will push and sweat your way to a lean, healthy body.
1 hour class on Fridays evenings. High energy class focusing on your Boxing Skills while burning an insane amount of calories! Learn how to hit stuff better and get an insane workout at the same time. Let loose, have some fun, and get the energy cranked up Friday Nights at 42.
We will teach you how to be healthier, happier and live that healthy lifestyle you know you deserve.

OK...I was approaching my 60th birthday and was in horrible shape - weight, mobility, strength - you name it. I was also approaching an event where there would have been... read more lots of pictures taken of my family, and probably posted online - a thought which made me cringe.
I knew I couldn't just jump into any program given my level of conditioning. So when I learned about the philosophy of Fit in 42, I knew it was my ticket to fitness. They truly do meet you where you are in your current level of fitness, or injury, or limitations. My fellow Fit in 42ers in my April group were all in better shape than I was but the coaches gave me modifications so I could still stay with the group. No one, and I mean no one, felt they were either being held back or left behind, given how the program is structured.
This is now day 43 for me and there has been significant improvement in every area of health - cardiovascular, strength, mobility, weight, inches, fat loss, muscle gain, mental clarity and psychological outlook.
But, I know that this is just the beginning of a lifelong habit. I'm continuing the journey today because I never want to go back to where I was 43 days ago.

In addition, classes are synched with the heart rate monitors so you can actually see your progress on the flat screens around the workout area. The owner and trainers are friendly and welcoming which... read more is important because although I'm an outgoing person, at a gym I'm more reserved and less talkative. They were very easy to engage with and encouraging to someone who hasn't had a formal workout in years. I'm glad I had an opportunity to work with all the trainers on different occasions because I was able to experience the strengths/skills of each whether that be their energy, knowledge about form, varied exercises in a class, stretches, or simply their music preference 🙂 I entered not needing to lose any weight so initially I felt a little out a place because there does seem to be more of an emphasis on the Fit in 42 program which has a large focus on weight loss. Also, many people in my semi-privates were enrolled in the Fit in 42 so they had more interaction with each other & the trainers and seemed to have a built in rapport. Regardless, other members were friendly even if I didn't see them as often as they saw each other in their other program. As I mentioned earlier, I wasn't looking to lose weight, however, I was so out of shape and really needed to build & strengthen muscles/tone. I felt like I really tested myself in this program and realized I was even weaker than I thought, which I learned after session 2! I'm glad I enrolled and gave this facility a try. It really helped me kick start back into more formal exercise program verse outdoor activities alone. I would continue, especially since the new location on El Paseo is so close to me, but the cost of membership is a bit high for me. Also, since the new facility is just starting, if I were to justify the cost, I'd like to see more availability of classes first, but i know they are just building this location/membership. It would be great if there were an option to do semi private sessions on weekends, even if during morning hours only. I found that sometimes if I couldn't come one or two days during the week, I couldn't space out the workouts to allow for muscles to heal between sessions because I'd go 3-4 days in a row due to not having an option for a semi-private on the weekend which at times was causing muscle fatigue.
Overall, I would most recommend this facility to individuals who are having trouble getting started on a fitness routine or are not disciplined enough to do it on their own or maintain. I would definitely use them again in the future is it was more affordable for me and especially if there were more weekend options open.
Pros: 1) Varied exercises to challenge your muscles, 2) Small Group classes which I liked so I wasn't the complete focus, 3) Friendly and encouraging trainers who were always pleasant while having to point out how my form was horrible 🙂 , 3) location for me! 4) Was never boring and never felt repetitive 4) I learned a lot of different exercises I can even incorporate on my own at home
Cons: 1) Price for membership 2) weekend schedule options limited
*Side note: I can't comment on the nutritional guidance because I never received any in my trial. I'm not sure if I was suppose to ask someone but it never came up after the initial consultation. Wasn't a huge issue for me, I'm sure if I asked someone they would have discussed it with me but it wasn't vital because I eat pretty decently..... I think 😉

I couldn't believe how pumped I get at 6 am. No matter the instructor or the class, it's impossible not to get a good workout! The staff, the owners and even the other gym members are nice and ready to shred! It's a great feeling being surrounded by like minded people creating a healthy lifestyle. I wish they had more establishments so I didn't have to drive 45 minutes ! It's worth it!

I have tried many gyms and I have to say, this one has me excited to go! I average 4-5 days a week. I begin a new journey with them Tuesday. 3 days of cardio classes/2 days of semi-private training! Then 1/31/2017 I begin Fit 42....... I am so confident in this gym and the trainers that I have committed by journey through 3/2018!!! I recommend, if you are reading this, call them now! Some gyms... read more are staffed by snobbish arrogant body builders, but the people at NLF are down-to-earth, friendly and accepting of every member, regardless of their physical condition and no matter where they are in their fitness plan. Each routine has a modification for an easier version. A+
I signed up 6/8/15 for the advertise 21 day for $89.00. But after my second day on 6/9/15, I had a severely swollen and reinjured a previous surgically fix right... read more knee. So I started swimming to try and regain the flexibility and decrease the swelling. I told the owner/manager Gerry all this, and that I had a job, and I lived in a two story home, so I could not afford to lose use of my knees. I told him that I believed that his gym was just not for me, I just wanted to know if they could refund me part or all of my money as I had only gone to the gym for two days. He started telling me that I needed a personal trainer, that they were here to help people, I again reiterated my previous plea to him regarding my injury, and my need to rehab it. I told him I was a nurse, and knew what I need to do and what I had an injury. He did not know any thing about me, my age, my previous injuries, my weight... I told him he was unable to have an educated discussion with me regarding my injury, or ability to benefit from their gym. Again I ask him can I have a partial or total refund of my trial fee, as I only used two days of the introductory 21 day? He said NO!
I called back to try and speak to the other owner but to no avail. NO REFUND!!! Per Gerry Waszack manger and owner of next level fitness.
Beware of this next level fitness policy of You Sign up even for an introductory evaluation of gym, your trapped with no recourse! I'm grateful I was only signed up for instructory trial of gym, and no more! This is my only recourse to write this dissatisfied costumer's -0 review, buyer beware of the fine print or no print!
